Personal info

Jean-Sébastien REY is Senior lecturer (Maître de Conférences HDR) at the University of Lorraine. After studying theology at the University of Strasbourg, he became «  élève titulaire » of the École Biblique et Archéologique Française de Jérusalem (2003–2004). In 2006, he obtained a PhD in Cotutelle with the Université catholique de Leuven, and in 2007 he became Lecturer at the Université de Lorraine – Metz in Biblical Science (Hebrew language, sciences bibliques (langue hébraïque, Psalms, sapiential literatures, Saint-Paul and apocalypsis). He defended an « Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches » in 2012. Since 2013, he is Director of the Revue de Qumrân (INT1). In 2012 he was awarded the prize Suzanne Zvi of the « Académie des Sciences de Nancy ».
