Proposition de Contrat Postdoctoral
L’INALCO (Paris, France) propose un contrat postdoctoral en langue et littérature hébraïque médiévale
CDD de 6 mois dans le cadre de l’obtention d’un financement ANR (INALCO – MSH Lorraine – ATILF).
Début du contrat : 1er Février 2014.
DESCRIPTION DU PROJET DANS LEQUEL LE POSTE S’INSCRIT ET MISSION DU POST-DOCTORANT
Objectifs du projet:
Aliento
((Analyse Linguistique, Interculturelle d’ÉNoncés sapientiels et
Transmission Orient/Occident-Occident/Orient Construction d’une base de
données sur les sources, la transmission, la circulation et la postérité
des énoncés sapientiels de la Péninsule Ibérique (IXe-XVe siècle) entre
les Trois Cultures) est un projet financé pour 3 ans par l’Agence
Nationale de la Recherche. Dans cette phase 4 grands objectifs sont
visés :
1) Annoter précisément à l’aide des
balises XML/TEI compatibles, portant sur le sens, la forme, la
structure, la leçon de chaque énoncé sapientiel bref repéré, 8 textes
d’un corpus de référence (arabe, espagnol, hébreu, catalan et latin), de
façon à pouvoir croiser les énoncés sapientiels brefs (circa 9570
unités) et développer par expérimentation collaborative avec les
chercheurs informaticiens un protocole de balisage performant pour ce
type d’unités, transférable à d’autres corpus (formalisation ;
normalisation ; création d’une ontologie commune à ces types d’énoncés) ;
2)
Élaborer collaborativement un outil capable d’effectuer les
appariements et constituer une interface trilingue permettant de
consulter ces résultats, c’est-à-dire, les liens établis entre les
énoncés sapientiels brefs ;
3) Analyser les résultats des
appariements et produire des résultats scientifiques dans le domaine des
humanités : étudier la circulation des énoncés sapientiels brefs, leurs
transformations et leurs degrés d’acculturation en fonction de leur
intertextualité propre ;
4) Constituer une bibliothèque de textes
sapientiels médiévaux accessibles en ligne avec des métadonnées
standardisées au format TEI et accompagnés de données sur ces textes et
les auteurs, traducteurs, compilateurs et de bibliographies.
Le présent projet d’ANR ALIENTO se situe dans le prolongement de 4 années de recherche.

Mission du post-doctorant:
Le/La post-doctorant(e) aura une formation approfondie en langue et
littérature hébraïque médiévale (textes sapientiels, moraux et /ou
philosophiques, d’Espagne -ou de Provence -de préférence), ainsi qu’une
bonne connaissance dans le maniement de l’informatique. En tant que
spécialiste en charge des textes hébreux, Il/Elle devra annoter
précisément les énoncés sapientiels brefs à l’aide des balises XML/TEI
compatibles, portant sur le sens, la forme, la structure, la leçon de
chaque énoncé sapientiel bref repéré dans l’ouvrage de dits en hébreu :
Musrei ha-pilosofim trad. de al-Harizi (XIIIe siècle), Miv’har ha-pninim
(trad. du Mukhtar al-Jawâhir par Yehudah ibn Tibbon) attribué à Shelomo
ibn Gabirol XIIe s. Il/Elle travaillera à Paris (INALCO) en étroite
collaboration avec l’équipe ALIENTO (Nancy – Paris).
Il/Elle
participera aux réunions de réflexion et aux groupes de travail en
collaboration avec l’ATILF et apportera au projet son expertise des
textes hébreux médiévaux, de la langue hébraïque médiévale.
Compétence :
– Doctorat en langue, littérature et civilisation hébraïques médiévales
– Bonne connaissance de la circulation des textes de langue hébraïque dans l’espace méditerranéen
– Connaissance de l’arabe souhaitée
Contrat :
Durée : 6 mois
Aucune
condition de nationalité n’est exigée. Pour les candidats non
francophones, la langue de communication peut être l’anglais.

Salaire approximatif : environ 2500 euros brut / mois, soit environ 2000€ net/ mois (+ carte de transport).

Postdoctoral Research Position
The
INALCO offers a postdoctoral research position in medieval Hebraic
language and literature – a temporary contract (6 months) in the event
of the approval of an ANR financing scheme (INALCO – MSH Lorraine – CNRS
ATILF).
The contract begins on February 1st 2014.
Description of the research project framing the position and main focus of the postdoctoral researcher
Aims of the research project
Aliento
(Linguistic and intercultural analysis of short sapiential statements
and of their transmission East/West, West/East) is a research project
whose aim is the creation of a database about the sources, transmission,
circulation and posterity of the sapiential statements of the Iberian
Peninsula (from the ninth to the sixteenth century) between the Three
Cultures. Aliento has been budgeted for three years by the National
Agency for Research. At this stage there are four main objectives:
1.
Accurate annotation using an XML/TEI tagging system on the sense, the
form, the structure and the moral of each brief sapiential statement
found in eight texts from a reference corpus (Arabic, Spanish, Hebrew,
Catalan and Latin). The point is to link the brief sapiential statements
(about 9,570 items) and, by means of a close collaboration between
experts, develop a robust tagging protocol for this type of items which
can be transferable to other corpora (formalisation, normalisation,
creation of a common ontology to this type of statements).
2.
Cooperatively create a piece of software capable of matching items and
displaying a trilingual interface that will allow the monitoring of
results, i.e. the links created between the brief sapiential statements.
3.
Analysis of the matching results and production of scientific results
in the field of humanities: study of the circulation of brief sapiential
statements, their transformation and their degree of acculturation
according to their own intertextuality.
4. Creation of a library
of medieval sapiential texts accessible on-line by means of standardised
meta-data in TEI format and accompanied by data on the text, authors,
translators, compilers and references

Focus of the postdoctoral researcher:
The
postdoctoral researcher must have an extensive background in medieval
Hebraic language and literature (especially sapiential, moral and/or
philosophical texts from Spain or Provence) as well as solid technical
know-how in computing. As a specialist in Hebraic texts s/he will have
to tag with precision the brief sapiential statements with compatible
XML/TEI annotations on the sense, the form, the structure and the moral
of each brief sapiential statement to be found in the books of sayings
in Hebrew: Musrei ha-pilosofim translated by al-Harizi, 13th century and
Miv’har ha-pninim, the translation of Mukhtar al-Jawâhir by Yehudah ibn
Tibbon and attributed to Shelomo ibn Gabirol, 12th century.
S/he will work in Paris (INALCO) in close collaboration with the research group ALIENTO (Nancy – Paris).
S/he
will take part in the research meetings and workshops co-organised with
the ATILF and will contribute with her/his expertise in medieval
Hebraic texts and language.
Background
– Doctorate in medieval Hebraic language, literature and culture.
– Extensive knowledge of the circulation of Hebrew texts in the Mediterranean area.
– Knowledge of Arabic will be taken into consideration.
Terms of contract
Length: 6 months
The
postdoctoral researcher can be of any nationality. English may be used
as the working language for researchers not speaking French.
The contract begins on February 1st 2014.

The
gross salary will be about 2,400 euros per month. The net salary will
be about 2,000 euros per month, to which it should be added the Paris
public transport card.
